This weekend was the first time Chloé got to meet her little cousin Prince. Prince is a 13 week old Samoyed with more energy than Powergen! They met in my mums back garden on a beautiful September morning and they took to each other instantly engaging in what seemed to be a never ending game of chase.
We will need to be careful in future as to how much Chloé gets to run as we don't want to damage her little hips and we were hoping there would be more ruff 'n' tumble rather than the running but this was the first time she has ever got to run off the lead since we've had her and she loved it.
The ever inviting Prince
Come on, lets go...
Let the games begin
I'll get you, I'll get you...
Chloé amongst the plants
I just need a little rest
Chloé's first run off a leash, she looks so happy
Come on girl...

So after all the toys we've bought, including her brand new massive plush super loafer buddy, Chloé has decided that this is the most fun she's ever had... yep its an old plastic prawn tub.

This is the day we've been waiting for... the first walk. Poor little Chloé has been stuck in our flat for the last 4 weeks with no where to run and play. We were pleasantly surprised as to how she took everything in her stride.
She seems to love people and thinks every passing person is there to see her (although most seem to make her wish come true). We decided upon a riverside walk passing 2 sets of traffic lights, a bridge and a pub garden along the way. Already she seems to be pulling a lot on the lead so we're going to need to get some advice on how to lead train, and she's a crazy scavenger wanting to nibble on everything from lumps of dirt, stones, cut grass, cigarette butts and pretty much anything her little mouth can get hold of.
First visit to the pub
Stop, Look, Listen!
A beautiful riverside walk

The first puppy class
Meeting our classmates
This Springer, Ben I think, is the first puppy Chloé has met since she left her brothers and sisters.
Meeting another Springer, they are so soft and cute!
We all swapped dogs and once Chloé relaxed a bit she enjoyed all the attention!
Learning to sit for some exceptionally fishy smelling treats, they tasted good though, I know because I tried one!
What with trying to co-ordinate the lead, the treat and the clicker, sitting was much more of a challenge for me than Chloé, she already knew how to sit!
The puppy school is in a pet store, so we were allowed to go out and meet all the small animals!
I thought I saw a wabbit! I did! I did saw a wabbit!
Who cares about rabbits, look at all that pink!
Totally not interested in fish. Which is good because we have fish at home!
She wasn't really interested in the toys either.
Although she did decide she wanted this bone when she saw the Springer with it!
Our trainer is going off on holiday now so we have to wait three whole weeks for the next class! We can go for proper walks in a day though so we have lots to look forward to!

My dad always took our photo outside on the first day of school, so of course I wanted to do the same for Chloé and she posed perfectly! We start puppy school today, it's very exciting! She's wearing her shiny new ID tag which arrived today.

Ice Ice Baby
Chloé had her first experience of ice this weekend, she absolutely loves it! She looked totally in awe of it at first, then she licked it, chased it and crunched it and left tiny puddles all over the carpet, of course we didn't mind at all. We'll be making tons of icy treats when she starts teething!
In other news... Chloé's had her second set of innoculations now so we'll be going out for walkies very soon. She's also learned to sit on voice command already, which is really really useful! We're amazed at how much darker her coat has got in just a week, she's looking even more beautiful!

The Dark Side
When we got Chloé, she was pretty much all gold with a few darker hairs growing under her puppy fluff. You can see from these at 11 weeks old her dark saddle is forming nicely. She now looks like a real miniature German Shepherd.

We've slowed the blog post's down recently but that's only because we're lacking new activities at the moment. Chloé will be able to go for walks soon and puppy school starts within the next 2 weeks so we will have lots of new experience's to capture. In the mean time, here's a few more photos of Chloé at 11 weeks with yet more toys!
